Admission Notice 2016-17

Online application are invited for admission in B.A.L.L.B.(Hons.), L.L.M. and Ph.D.courses for the session 2016-17.  

Key Dates-

Last Date for applying- 11.04.2016
AILET will be hold on- 01.05.2016

Eligibility for LLB-

All candidates, other than those applying under the Foreign Nationals category, should appear for the All India Law Entrance Test (AILET) and selection shall be solely on that basis.
Candidates should score at least 40% of the marks in the AILET (30% for SC/ ST candidates)
In order to appear for the AILET, candidates should have passed the 10+2 examination and scored a minimum of 50%. However, candidates appearing for 10+2 examinations in the year of the AILET can also apply, provided they meet the above condition at the time of admission.
Candidates should be less than 21 years of age or 23 years in case of SC/ST candidates

Number of Seats

The University admits 81 students every year to the B.A., LL.B (Hons.)
10 seats are set aside for Foreign Nationals.
Of the remainingseats, 15% are reserved for Scheduled Castes, 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe, 3% for Persons with Disabilities.
1 seat is reserved for migrants from Kashmir.

Syllabus for All India Law Entrance Test (AILET)

The AILET has 150 questions for 150 marks that must be attempted within 1 hour 30 minutes.The AILET has sections on English, General Knowledge, Basic Mathematics, Logical Reasoning and Legal Aptitude.

Fee for appearing for the AILET- 

Rs. 3000 for General Category candidates; 
Rs. 2000 for Persons with Disabilities; 
Rs. 1000 for SC/ ST candidates. 
There is no entrance examination fee for SC/ ST candidates below the poverty line.

Copies of the question booklets used in previous years can be collected by depositing Rs.500/- (2008-2014) at the office of the Registrar, National Law University, Delhi or by sending a DD of Rs.550/- in favour of ‘Registrar, National Law University, Delhi’ payable at Delhi. Please do send a covering letter with an address for delivery. 

Fees-

The fees payable fall into three categories: annual fees; one-time fees; and deposits.

Annual Fees-
Tuition Fee: Rs. 85,000 p.a
Halls of Residence: Rs. 18,000 p.a
Mess Advance: Rs. 15,000 p.a
Other Fees*: Rs. 40,500 p.a

One-Time Fees (to be paid only at the time of admission to the I-year)
Campus Development Fund: Rs. 5,000
Admission Fee: Rs. 2,500 

Deposits-
Library Deposit: Rs. 5,000 (Rs. 2,500 for SC/ ST students)
Hostel Deposit: Rs. 5,000
Mess Deposit: Rs. 5,000
