फिर बदलेगी NIT में दाखिले की प्रक्रिया

केंद्र सरकार ने NIT नेशनल इंस्टिट्यूट ऑफ़ टेक्नोलॉजी में दाखिले की प्रक्रिया में संसोधन करने का निर्णय लिया है| तीन-चार साल पहले लागू की गई वर्तमान प्रणाली को बदला जाएगा|

क्या है वर्तमान व्यवस्था-

वर्तमान व्यवस्था के अनुसार JEE (Main) में प्राप्त अंकों का 60 प्रतिशत और 12वीं कक्षा में प्राप्त अंकों का 40 प्रतिशत औसत मिला कर मेरिट बनाई जाती है और उसी के आधार पर दाखिला किया जाता है| यह व्यवस्था करीब तीन साल पहले लागू की गई थी|

क्या होगी नयी व्यवस्था-

नयी व्यवस्था में 12वीं कक्षा में प्राप्त अंकों को मेरिट में शामिल नहीं किये जाने का निर्णय केंद्र सरकार ने किया है| अब JEE (Main) के अंकों पर ही दाखिला मेरिट बनाई जायेगी|

कब से लागू होगी नयी प्रणाली- 

नयी प्रणाली अगले सत्र यानी 2017 में होने वाले दाखिले से शुरू होगी, इस वर्ष पुराणी प्रणाली से ही दाखिले होंगे|

कितने संस्थानों में होते हैं दाखिले- 

JEE (Main) की मेरिट के आधार पर 31 NIT के अलावा कुछ राज्यों (जिनमें हरियाणा भी शामिल है) के सरकारी इंजीनियरिंग कॉलेजों में भी दाखिला होता है| कुछ निजी विश्वविद्यालय और कॉलेज भी इसी मेरिट का उपयोग दाखिले के लिए करते हैं|

To promote high quality scientific education, research and training, Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India, has set up seven Indian Institutes of Science Education and Research (IISERs) at Berhampur, Bhopal, Kolkata, Mohali, Pune, Thiruvananthapuram and Tirupati. 

5 Year BS-MS Dual Degree Programme

It is a five year dual degree program for bright and motivated science students who have passed class XII. 

The program integrates classroom learning with research and provides ample scope for multidisciplinary interactions. 

The first two years of the program consist of core courses in basic sciences, the third and fourth years are dedicated to specialization in chosen science subjects and the fifth year includes a research project. The training during the program enables students to pursue a career in academia, R&D institutes and science based industries.

IISERS Eligibility Criteria-

Candidates passing class 12th board examination in 2015 or in 2016 in science stream along with any of the following criteria are eligible-

(i) Kishore Vaigyanik Protsahan Yojana (KVPY)-

Valid KVPY fellowship commencing from 2016-17 academic session. Additional cut off criteria may be applicable. 

(ii) IIT-JEE Advance 2016-

Students securing at least 60% marks in class 12th and securing a place in JEE Advance 2016 rank list for admission to IITs. Additional cut off criteria may be applicable.

(iii) State and Central Boards (SCB)-

Student with marks equal or above the cut off percentage in class 12th board examination, as notified in www.iiseradmission.in.

Note- Student applying through SCB channel will have to appear and qualify the IISER Aptitude Test which will be conducted at various centres across the country. 

Reservation- 

IISERs follow Government of India rules of reservations for set allocation in Central Educational Institutions. 

IISERS Scholarship-

All BS-MS students are eligible for KVPY or INSPIRE scholarship of Rs.5000/- p.m. as per DST norms subject to continued good academic performance.

ADMISSION NOTICE JEE (Main) – 2016 

4th Joint Entrance Examination (Main) - 2016 will be conducted by the JEE Apex Board for admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programmes in NITs, IIITs and other Centrally Funded Technical Institutions etc.

The admission to Undergraduate Engineering Programs at NITs, IIITs, other centrally funded Technical Institutions, Institutions funded by several participating State Governments, and several other Institutions shall include the performance in the Joint Entrance Examination, JEE (Main). For admission to NITs, Centrally Funded Technical Institutions (CFTIs) like IIITs etc. and other participating Institutions, the merit/rank list shall be prepared based on 40% weightage to school Boards marks in class 12th or equivalent examination and 60% weightage to JEE(Main). The weightage to school Board/Equivalent examination marks shall be considered only after normalization. The States of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh, Haryana, Uttrakhand, Nagaland & Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system. Therefore, the candidates seeking admission to the institutions in these states, which were earlier admitting based on their State level examination, are also advised to fill in the JEE (Main) -2016 application form online. The JEE (Main) will also be an eligibility test for the JEE (Advanced), which the candidate has to take if he/she is aspiring for admission to the undergraduate programmes offered by the IITs/ISM Dhanbad. 

I. INFORMATION BULLETIN – 

The detailed information bulletin containing details of examination, syllabus, eligibility criteria to appear, examination fee, cities of examination, State code of eligibility, age relaxation, process of normalization of marks, eligibility for admission, reservation policies and important dates will be available on JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in on 1st December 2015. The aspiring candidates are requested to download the information bulletin from above mentioned website only and read the same carefully before applying. 

II. APPLICATION FORM – 

The aspiring candidates have to apply online only through JEE (Main) website www.jeemain.nic.in. The online application process will start from 1st December, 2015 onwards. The last date for application is 31st December, 2015. The eligibility criteria for JEE (Main) & JEE (Advanced) are different. The candidates are requested to read the information bulletin carefully and themselves ensure their eligibility as per the criteria laid down for JEE (Main) as well as JEE (Advanced).

B. YEAR OF APPEARANCE IN QUALIFYING EXAMINATION (QE)-

Only those candidates who have passed their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2014 or 2015: or those who are appearing in their Class 12th Exam or any equivalent qualifying examination in 2016 are eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. Candidates who passed Class 12th/Qualifying examination in 2013 or before as well as those who will appear in such examination in 2017 or later are not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) – 2016. 

The candidates who appeared in class 12th/ equivalent qualifying Examinations in 2013, did not pass in 2013, but passed in 2014 are also not eligible to appear in JEE (Main) 2016. The candidates willing to appear for improvement examination of class 12th in 2016 have to appear in all the 5 subjects as per the scheme of study of the concerned board. Further, they may also note that in the percentile system, the total marks (of all five subjects) obtained/shown on the mark-sheet of a particular year are required in JEE (Main) and also in JEE (Advanced). The marks from two different year’s (i.e. marks for 3 subjects from year 2015 and marks for other 2 subjects from 2016) mark-sheets cannot be considered for percentile calculation. 

C. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS – 

The number of attempts which a candidate can avail at JEE (Main) shall be limited to 03 (three). 

D. NUMBER OF ATTEMPTS AND AGE LIMIT FOR THE STATES OF ODISHA – 

Since the State of Odisha have joined JEE (Main) system, the age limit, for admission to institutions in the state of Odisha which were earlier admitting candidates based on their Sate level examinations, will be as per their past practice only. The number of attempts in such cases will also remain same as per their past practice. This will, however, be obviously not applicable for admission to IITs/NITs/IIITs/CFTIs. 

VI. EXAMINATION FEE-

The fee can be remitted in the following ways; • By Debit/Credit Card. • Through E-challan generated after successful submission of online application form. Admission to VIT B.Tech programmes is based on the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination (VITEEE). 

The exam is a computer based test (CBT) that is held in centers across the country and abroad. Questions are based on the specified syllabus with options to attempt papers in either Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics (PCM) or Physics, Chemistry and Biology (PCB).

ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR ADMISSION-

GRADUATE APTITUDE TEST IN ENGINEERING 

Admission to Postgraduate Courses (Master’s and Doctoral) in the country, with MHRD and other Government Scholarships/Assistantships in Engineering/Technology/Architecture/Science, is open to those who qualify in GATE. The GATE score is also used by some PSUs for their recruitment. Validity of GATE 2016 score will be for a period of 3 (THREE) YEARS ONLY from the date of announcement of results. Examinations for all the papers will be conducted as Computer Based Tests only. For some of the papers, the examination will be conducted in multiple sessions. Eligibility: 

Candidates in the following categories ONLY are eligible to appear for GATE: (a) Bachelor’s degree holders in Engineering/ Technology (4 years after 10+2 or 3 years after Diploma in Engineering/Technology) and those who are in the final year of such programs. 

(b) Bachelor’s degree holders of Architecture (Five years course) and those who are in the final year of such programs. 

(c) Bachelor’s degree holders of Four-year program in Science (B.S.) and those who are in the final year of such programs. 

(d) Master’s degree holders in any branch of Science / Mathematics / Statistics/Computer Applications or equivalent and those who are in the final year of such programs. 

(e) Holders of Four-year Integrated Master’s degree (Post-B.Sc.) in Engineering/Technology and those in the second or higher year of such programs. 

(f) Holders of Five-year Integrated Master’s degree or Dual Degree in Engineering / Technology and those in the fourth or higher year of such programs. 

(g) Holders of Five-year integrated M.Sc. or Five year integrated B.Sc./M.Sc. degree and those in the final year of such programs. 

(h) Candidates with qualifications obtained through examinations conducted by professional societies recognized by UPSC/AICTE as equivalent to B.E./B.Tech. Those who have completed section A of AMIE or equivalent of such professional courses are also eligible. 

Candidates have to apply only ONLINE. 

Application Fee-

The application fee is 750 for women candidates, 750 for the SC/ST/PwD category candidates and 1500 for all others. 

The application fee can be paid either online or through e-challan (additional bank charges may apply). The application fee is non-refundable.

GATE 2016 Basic Features

Examinations for all the 23 papers will be conducted by an ONLINE Computer Based Test (CBT). The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed in by the candidate using the virtual keypad. Rest of the questions shall be of Multiple Choice Question (MCQ) type.

Biometric information (Photograph and Fingerprints) for randomly selected candidates may be captured before the start of the examination.

GATE 2016 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on weekends (Saturday and Sunday) between 30th January 2016 and 07th February 2016. Examination for some of the papers in GATE 2016 will be held in multiple sessions. Exact details regarding complete examination schedule will be notified at a later date.

For GATE 2016 the entire process of filling up of application form, uploading of certificates/documents etc., will be online and the candidates should not send any hard copy of their application form/documents etc., to IISc or any of the IIT’s zonal GATE office.

The payment of application fees would be through electronic mode online as well as through payment at bank counters using e-challan.

The admit cards for GATE 2016 would be available through the online process only. Candidates can download their admit card from GATE 2016 website-http://www.gate.iisc.ernet.in/ No printed copy of admit cards will be posted to the candidates.
