Online Applications are invited for the post of Assistant Professors in the following subjects in the Pay Band-III of Rs.15600-39100 with Academic Grade Pay of Rs.6000/- plus usual allowances as admissible under the rules of University of Delhi from time to time.

Note: Appointments made would be subject to further orders of the Hon’ble High Court of Delhi in the Writ Petition (C) No.803/2014. 

Essential Qualifications: 

1. Good academic record with at least 55% marks (50% for candidates belonging to SC/ST/Persons with Disability viz physically and visually disabled or those who passed their Master’s Degree prior to 19.09.1991 and hold a Ph.D. Degree) or an equivalent grade of B in the 7 point scale with letter grades O, A, B, C, D, E & F at the Master’s degree level in the relevant subject from an Indian University or an equivalent degree from a foreign University. 

2. Candidates must have qualified the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by the UGC/CSIR or a similar test accredited by the UGC (State level eligibility test-SLET/SET). 

Application Fee:

The application fee is Rs. 250/- for General/OBC applicants and Rs. 100/- for SC / ST applicants. This is payable only Online and non-refundable. 

No application fee is applicable for PwD applicants

General Note: 

1. Candidates who are or have been awarded Ph.D. degree in compliance of the University Grants Commission (Minimum Standards and procedures for awards of M.Phil. / Ph.D. degree), Regulations, 2009 shall be exempted from the requirements of the minimum eligibility condition of NET/SLET/SET. 2. NET/SLET/SET shall not be required for such Master’s Degree Programmes in discipline for which NET/SLET/SET accredited test is not conducted. 

3. The candidates applying under PwD category may specifically mention in application their main category to which they belong i.e. UR/SC/ST/OBC for the purpose of computing the reservation. 

4. The candidates applying under PwD category are required to submit the Disability Certificate in the format prescribed by Government of India, Department of Personnel and Training vide OM No.36035/3/2004-Estt(Res) dated 29.12.2005. The format is available at the website www.persmin.nic.in 

5. Out of Total posts 3% posts are reserved for PwD candidates. 

6. The candidates already in service must apply through proper channel. 

7. The College reserves its right not to fill any or all the post(s) advertised. 

8. The College reserves the right to change the number and nature of posts. 

9. Only Online Applications are accepted. PwD candidates may apply Online or Offline. PwD candidates may obtain Application Form from the office of the College on all working days between 3:00 PM and 8:00 PM up to 23.06.2015. Offline Application form for PwD candidates is also available on College Website http://zakirhusainpgeve.in. 

10. Separate application has to be submitted for each post. 

11. Candidates are required to fill the Online Application Form available on the college website http://zakirhusainpgeve.in. 

12. Each applicant filling the Online Application Form will have to register first himself/herself through both email-id and password. 

13. The Last date for filling up Online Application Form is within 21 days from the date of publication of the Advertisement i.e. 23.06.2015. 

14. After filling the Online Application Form, applicants are required to print the Application Form, attach self-attested copies of degrees, mark-sheets, research and teaching experience certificates, testimonials, caste-certificate (where applicable), disability certificate (where applicable) etc. and submit the same to the college office on any working day (Monday to Friday) between 3:00 PM to 8:00 PM or sent through Speed Post/ Registered Post to the college address. The hard copy of Online/Offline application form, complete in all respect must reach the office of The Principal, Zakir Husain Delhi College (Evening), Jawaharlal Nehru Marg, New Delhi-110002 on or before 03.07.2015. 

15. The College will not be responsible for any Postal delay. 

16. No application shall be entertained through Email/Fax. 

17. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. The applications received shall be screened in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University of Delhi in this regard, to restrict the no. of candidates. 

18. Candidates are advised to satisfy themselves before applying that they possess at least the minimum essential qualifications laid down in the advertisement. 

19. Candidates already in employment are required to submit a “No Objection Certificate” from the present employer. 

20. Consequent upon adoption of self-certification provisions as required by the Government of India, the College shall process the applications entirely on the basis of information/ documents submitted by the candidates. In case the information/ documents are found to be false/ incorrect by way of omission or commission, the responsibility and liability shall lie solely with the candidates. 

21. Any addendum/ corrigendum shall be posted on the College/ DU website only. 

22. Incomplete application in any form will be rejected. 

23. Canvassing, in any form or on behalf of the candidate will be a disqualification. 

CALL FOR INTERVIEW 

1. Merely fulfilling the minimum eligibility conditions does not entitle the candidates to be called for interview. 

2. The applications received shall be screened in accordance with the guidelines laid down by the University of Delhi in this regard, to restrict the number of candidates. 

3. No TA/DA shall be paid to any shortlisted candidate for appearing in the interview. 

4. The list of candidates shortlisted for interview will be displayed on the college website after screening.
